Angel has fallen is the third in the series of Fallen series movies. Directed by Ric Roman staring Gerard Butler this is a wonderful action flick. Morgan Freeman plays a key role and is very important in this movie. There is a scope of bit of improvement in the taking of film. Overall, If you a action movie lover, this will surely impress you. Just relax and enjoy this action flick.
Third movie in the line up of Fallen series after Olympus has fallen. A great action flick which is set to entertain audience. Though film started slowly, it picks up steam and the action is very good. Gerard Buttler did a fabulous job as Agent Mike. You'll love it if your are action movie buff.
Yet another action flick for Gerald Butler lovers. Morgan freeman can never disappoint you. A must watch if you are in for a couple of hours of drama and action. Dump your brain and the ability to predict the next move and for sure you will love what's going on. Predictable secret services twists, need to get out of situations and save life. Terrorists are over hyped in movies to make heroes look good in the end. All you need to do is sit back focus on action with your soda and popcorn.
The movie is crisp and crunch but lacks the humid flavor. Morgan Freeman is the Oxygen in this movie amid percievable plot and overtuned family meet ups and action. Movie starts with a expected outline. very predictable story. It's good to see Morgan Freeman and Gerard Butler together on screen. Only interesting thing is as usual the fight sequence.
I find this movie very entertaining, the action pack is solid and well performed. Cameras may be sometime wobbling but acceptable. Overall, very entertaining. Don't listen to negative critics, please go and watch! If you are a fan of Gerald Butler then this movie is another big shot on his performance.
Mike banning who is a secret service agent is arrested under suspicion that he is the assailant behind the attack on the US president which was done with the help of bomber drones and kills almost all the secret service agents except the Mike and the president. However, both of them goes unconscious after the attack and the president goes into coma. Mike wakes up after sometime to get arrested, with his skills he escapes and he has to prove his innocence about the incident and also to safeguard the president from another attack. The story was directed with a crispy screenplay however there is a lot of scope for improvement in the direction. This is worth a watch for the action movie lovers.
Secret service agent Mike is assigned with protecting the president of the United States. During a fishing trip, bomber drones are used for assassination attempt on the president. Mike saves the president from the bomb attack but both of them goes unconscious. However the president goes into coma and mike wakes up after sometime gets arrested as the police were misinterpreting mike and is assailant behind the attack, as all other secret service agents gets killed. Using his skills, mike escapes from the custody and now he needs to prove his innocence while protecting the president. How he proved his innocence and what happened to the president forms part of the remaining story. Though the plot seems to be interesting there are already lots of movies released with a similar concept of saving the president or the world. Its worth a watch for the weekend.
Mike Banning (Butler) is done saving Presidents after Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen. This time he is out to save his own skin, after he is set up as the culprit following an assassination attempt on the President. The inept FBI, led by a hardworking Pinkett Smith, can’t go wrong with this one. The clues are laid out like a bread crumb trail, from DNA matches, to Banning being the lone Secret Service agent who survives the attack, to 10 million dollars in an offshore account, to links with Russia. It’s when the plot thickens that the film leaks. There is no suspense, as the bad guy is revealed much too early — even if few would have any doubt as to who that would turn out to be. There is no complexity as all of America’s many wars are bundled together in one sentence — Iraq, Vietnam, and Korea, with Russia looming over the horizon. And there is no original thought with dark taint back on the role of private military contractors
Disappointing movie of the year. This is the worst part of 'Has fallen' sequels. All actions was looking like fake and looking like someone is shaking camera in their hands. Most of the part the camera fully focus on only face of the actors. Poor direction and poor visuals. Story is still ok and acting is ok but direction, actions, visuals make the film bad. If you are die hard fan of Has fallen films then go and watch otherwise you can avoid it.
This Film is NOT enjoyable. The first thing that stands out is poor effects work- you can see the type of effects you might see on a Sci-Fi channel movie. The second thing that stands out is the use of Close-Up shots- 90% of the movie lives in Close Up of the faces of the characters, this just screams of poor directing and editing. The plot is weak, the FBI is shown to be pretty dumb. What the movie gets right is Nick Nolte's performance and story arc. He was the only good thing about the film.
Third opus of the Banning saga based on a predictable script and caricatural characters. The movie is not bad at all thanks to Gerard Butler as an old lion, Morgan Freeman as an empathetic president or Nick Nolte as an improbable Rambo. But it nevertheless suffers from a blatant lack of originality with the almost permanent impression of having already seen it and of knowing the end. Moreover, the explosions are barely worthy of a TV movie, with a piteous Computer-Generated Imagery. Nice with low expectation, the intended audience being probably narrowed to male teens at the dawn of their cinematographic puberty.
Great action movie !! Angel Has Fallen is the third installation in the ‘Has Fallen’ series after Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen. The protagonist of these three movies is secret service agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) who is not just any agent, he’s ‘THE’ secret service agent. In all three movies, Mike’s job has been to be the guardian of the President of the United States and save him from various assassination plots. This time around it’s the guardian angel who has fallen and found himself in the middle of a larger conspiracy. Loved the movie to the core of my heart
I dont know whose idea it was, that action movie means shaking the camera and shooting with a hand held camera and that too only close up shots - grow up guys. You are covering your incompetency with these techniques. I never really connected with the movie with shaky hand held camera and with blurred closeup shots. I never go the same director or photographer movies. I wish i could get my money back and i regret how a talent like Gerald Butler was wasted. Incompetent director and cinematography and not so great story plot.
It is hard to believe that it has been six years since Gerard Butler introduced audiences to Special Agent Mike Banning. Over the course of the film and its sequel; Banning kept the President safe against a never-ending barrage of threats both home and abroad. For the new film "Angel Has Fallen"; Banning must protect a new President (Morgan Freeman) and clear his name when he is framed after a devastating attack on the President. When he is suddenly the most wanted man in the country; Banning must use all his skills when he is abducted and subsequently escapes while be transported to a detention facility. The movie takes a bit of time getting up to speed but wisely has some good action along the way to setup the film and increase the tension levels. Once the action revs up, it is full on pedal to the floor action with Butler throwing himself into the fray against heavy odds no matter the cost. What makes this film stand out from the others is that narrative is more plausible than other action films and you do see Butler dealing with the results of his profession. This is not a Teflon Super Hero who has bullets bounce off his chest. This is a man who bears his physical and psychological scars from his years in service and has a hard time letting go of the work even though it is what he believes he is best suited for. Morgan Freeman gives a very strong performance as does Nick Nolte who stole many of the scenes in which he was in and provided some real Wild Card comic relief and action to the film. In the end it is Gerard's picture and he throws himself into the part without becoming repetitive of his past films and giving Banning a relatable and sympathetic quality that is often lacking in films of this type. In a summer of many films Over Promising and Under-Delivering: "Angel Has Fallen" is a refreshing exception as it was an enjoyable thrill ride from start to finish and I sure hope we have not seen the last of Agent Banning.
I've been following these "Fallen" films since the beginning and Angel Has Fallen didn't fail to entertain. Yes it started off a bit slow, but when it picked up steam and hit overdrive, it was non-stop action, with Agent Mike Banning being a bit more humanized and relatable in this film than the other two. There's a set-up, family drama, murder, suspense, drones, explosions, implosions, betrayal, bullets, guns, blood and overall rip-roaring action. What more can you ask for in a great popcorn, hot dog and soda film! Are you getting some deep psychological thriller, where pseudo-intellectual critics can deep-dive into some esoteric theoretical meanings that only they can understand, that the rest of us can't...NO. Thank goodness! But what you ARE getting with Angel Has Fallen is a thrill ride, so buckle-up and have fun.
